**Job Title: Welder**

**Job Description**

We are actively seeking two skilled Welders for our 2nd shift team. You will mainly work on castings similar in size to washing machines, microwaves, and basketballs. Your tasks will include OEM work and occasional repair tasks. Responsibilities involve preparing materials for welding, utilizing GTAW/TIG to weld and fabricate materials such as Stainless Steel, Inconel, Cobalt, Titanium, aluminum, and magnesium, and conducting both manual and semi-auto GTAW welding and brazing. You will also handle minor modifications, troubleshooting, and rework of components, interpret complex blueprints, and set up machines according to specific requirements. Additionally, you will perform quick dimensional inspections of welds using tools like calipers and protractors, along with visual inspections for cosmetic defects, and complete necessary documentation for each job.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

**Work Site**

This is a fully on-site position in East Granby, Connecticut.

**Work Environment**

The work environment is clean, well-lit, and very organized, featuring a mix of new and old machines. There are a total of 200 people working on the shop floor across two shifts. Personal protective equipment such as steel toes and safety glasses are required on the floor. The schedule is Monday-Friday, with the 1st shift from 7:00am-3:30pm and the 2nd shift from 3:30pm-12:00am. Training may initially occur on the 1st shift with potential flexibility. Occasional weekend work may also be required.
