Description:

- Supervise technical staff in the preparation of utility engineering designs, cost estimates and customer billing - Manage schedules and assign technical staff projects/daily work - About 15% of the job will be doing the actual design - Manage the development of engineers through mentoring, instructing on engineering principles, and governing electrical and safety codes - Instruct and teach staff in the use of computer systems/software, tools and equipment, and company owned vehicles - Provide guidance and communication with internal and external stakeholders - Coordinate internal/external reviews of designs completed prior to submissions - Evaluate performance and development of technical staff - Collab with department managers to develop, evaluate and implement new policies & procedures - Perform duties of Transmission Engineering Manager with manager is unavailable

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- PE is highly preferred, but would take an EIT who is ready/wants to sit for PE - Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering - Ability to supervise a team of Engineers and Engineering Technicians while maintaining work product quality, consistency, accuracy and reliability
