Position Overview

The A/R Collections Analyst will report to the Manager, Accounts Receivable in Shelton, CT as a member of the Accounting Operations team. This person will be responsible for the collection of delinquent customer accounts receivable for their portfolio of accounts. They will seek to speed up cash receipt and posting, by maximizing electronic payments by ACH with electronic remittance advice. They will work with the Manager, Accounts Receivable to help drive improvements in the process. What you will do and achieve

Follow up and collect on open customer invoices Perform daily analysis of accounts receivable aging reports to identify and prioritize past due invoices that require follow-up with customers for payment Research past dues for root causes and work with department manager and Sales to resolve issues Perform payment terms compliance analysis to determine customers who consistently pay late Help to create documentation of Standard Operating Procedures for Accounts receivable tasks Provide information to support audits and other requests Perform ad hoc projects and analysis to support Manager, Accounts Receivable and Director, Accounting Operations This is a non-exempt position within the $60-70K range based on a 40-hour work week. Who you are Education

A four-year college degree preferred, in a business-related field Experience

5+ years of accounts receivable collection experience Experience working in an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, Great Plains or Microsoft Dynamics. Sage Intacct experience is a plus Experience working with collections automation and receivables workflow tools a plus Key Knowledge & Skills

Good documentation and communication skills Experience with financial accounting systems Core Competencies

Attention to detail, strong math skills and the ability to ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced, changing environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good oral and written communication skills
