Loss Prevention Analyst

We are searching for the right candidate to add to our team to review data from cash registers and support loss prevention through analyzing data trends.

Location: Remote with expectation that candidate will come on site in Shelton, CT for onboarding (2-3 days) then 2-6 days per month as set in place by manager.

Length: 4 month contract with potential to extend


Essential Functions

Collect data from diverse sources/systems, to analyze relevant evidence in support of audit/forensic analytic procedures to formulate, substantiate and/or critique financial calculations, theories, claims, or conclusions. Review of internal analytics and POS (Point of sale) system data on a monthly and quarterly basis. Review results of secret shops and document findings.

Identify and document irregularities in system data. Identify trends and root causes of audit observations.

Develop and work with spreadsheets, electronic databases, and other files as needed. Prepare written reports to explain analyses and findings.

Communicate directly with Franchise Owners and staff to discuss findings.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to interpret and evaluate financial information.
  • Possess exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products; especially Word & Excel.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
