Position: Sales Planning Analyst
Objective:
The primary objective of this role is to generate and present reporting metrics that provide visibility and tracking into sales performance and objectives. The Sales Planning Analyst translates complex datasets into compelling narrative and actionable results. They also work within established guidelines and procedures to achieve specific functions as assigned and contributes to department projects and processes in support of company goals.

Sales Planning Analysts, Field Sales, IT, Marketing, Supply Chain, Product Management, Customer Support
Primary Responsibilities:
- Leverage Microsoft Excel and Power BI to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
- Research and evaluate areas of opportunity for revenue growth and cost reduction.
- Conduct variance analysis, reporting performance to goals, year over year, and to forecasts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish KPIs and build new dashboard reporting.
- Maintain existing dashboards for field sales and internal teams.
- Prep and clean unstructured and emi0structured datasets for sell through and other complex reporting from 3rd party analytic tools.
- Provide routine and ad-hoc analysis to guide corporate decision making.
- Forecast sales opportunity to aid department heads and participate in annual budgeting process.
- Support training initiatives based around business intelligence and guide new and experienced users through best practices with reporting suites.
- Other duties as necessary to contribute to the department/company accomplishing its objectives. To include: pricing deal and promo evaluation, SKU level forecasting, and LE forecasts.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Bachelors Degree
- 2-3 years related experience, Consumer Packaged Goods, or Luxury Retail experience strongly preferred
- Intermediate to advanced Excel including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF statements, Pivot Tables, and macros.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Pyramid BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio data visualization tools.
- Experience with one or more of the following: SAP, Google Analytics, Sage Business Works, SPS Analytics, Amazon Retail Analytics, FBA Analytics, or related data sources in either retail or consumer packaged goods industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within team environment
- Above average attention to detail and analytical skills
