A client-focused team seeks a results-oriented Project Manager with communications expertise in support of a dynamic Program. This person will lead Aviation Construction and Maintenance Project coordination and stakeholder communications efforts to drive project success while functioning in a procedurally complex environment.

Position Overview:

The Project Communications Manager is responsible for directly supporting the Program Manager and Program, facilitating project coordination through high-level communication processes, and maintaining established standards at multiple Aviation facilities. Primary responsibilities will include managing activity coordination and stakeholder engagement for Capital Improvement and Job Order Contract projects at City of Phoenix-owned airports. The Project Manager will proactively communicate with project stakeholders, facilitate coordination efforts for highly impactful construction activities, bolster internal and external organization, document, track, and file various project data, all while remaining flexible given shifting priorities and responsibilities. An individual interested in filling this position will work closely with contactor personnel and Aviation Department staff, operating under tight deadlines and strict standards.

Daily tasks may include:

· Attend multiple meetings and maintain awareness of ongoing construction activities.

· Track project schedules and facilitate consistent stakeholder communications.

· Coordinate construction activity and track approvals from necessary parties.

· Enter data, manage files, and sort any corresponding project documentation.

· Provide reports to the Program Manager through collaboration with the project team.

· Create and distribute informational pieces to notify affected parties of potential impacts.

· Answer a 24/7 Construction Hotline on a rotating on-call basis.

· Assist with internal initiatives and any other special projects or tasks as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Support the Program Manager, ensuring continued program functionality and readiness.

· Organize information and monitor schedules ensuring deadlines are met.

· Facilitate seamless project workflow, develop resources, and provide general support.

· Data entry and information tracking via multiple information databases.

· Read and interpret project plans, schedules and impacts.

· Communicate complex information to general audiences.

· Ensure high-level consistency among all communication material.

· Coordinate internal resources for the flawless execution of projects.

· Maintain current awareness of construction activities by gathering information and understanding the nuances.

· Communicate with outside agencies, clients, vendors, contractors and the public.

·· Diligent coordinator with excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.

· Problem solver with a strong ability to prioritize and re-direct in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to manage tasks simultaneously, follow-up, and meet deadlines given new priorities.

· Proficient in managing multiple collaborative projects with staff from a variety of disciplines with various levels of technical and non-technical backgrounds.

· Strong ability to translate complex ideas and information into layman terms.

· Ability to read design plans, maps and interpret construction language.

· Good presentation and public speaking capabilities.

· Outstanding attention to detail while sorting through high volumes of information.

· Proficient at data entry and project information tracking.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in project management, construction management, communications, or related field and/or 3+ years equivalent professional experience

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, SharePoint, Excel and Word

· Experience with Office 365 including OneNote, OneDrive & Microsoft Teams

· Access to reliable transportation for multiple daily site visits

· Knowledge of construction communication and aviation industry is preferred

· Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and/or InDesign is a plus
