Job Title:
Chemical Materials Quality Engineering Co-Op

Job Description:

WORK LOCATION: Burnet, TX

Core Purpose:
This role will work closely with the Material Quality Engineering team to identify high impact raw materials in our Chemicals raw material category, use statistical analysis to identify trends, and develop a plan to improve quality and mitigate risk for our end of use customer.
This is a Fall Co-op, running from June-December.

In this role, you will:
Use statistical analysis to review data sets, look for correlations, and visualize trends
Identify alternate sources that improve upon the trends of incoming raw materials
Identify gaps in internal measurement processes to proactively alert against downstream customer impacts

You're a good fit if you have:
Background in Statistics, Chemistry, Engineering, or related Field
Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions
Communicate effectively with team members
Use problem solving techniques to develop action plans
Competent in MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Desired Majors:
Degree in Statistics, Chemistry, Engineering, or related Field

Your success will be measured by:
Success of this role will be determined by the candidate using both their team and tools to develop a method which can identify quality improvement opportunities ultimately leading to improved performance for our customers. This role will utilize people and teamwork skills to work closely with the cross-functional teams to gather data and drive accountability upstream to improve quality excellence for our customers. These problem solving skills will require creativity and innovation to identify high impact raw material CI projects which ultimately drives improvement to the DPPM metric.
