Responsibilities

About this role:

The IT Program Manager is responsible for managing the project management lifecycle for the BI portfolio of projects. This manager may also lead and assist direct reports who are responsible for successfully administering projects, working closely with them as they develop their business and project management acumen. The IT Program Manager will promote team member integrity, ethical compliance, and will build upon our established culture. This individual will ensure consistent application of the GPPM (Global Project Portfolio Management) processes and procedures for BI portfolio of projects, and will be responsible for portfolio level reporting for all programs.

JOB DUTIES
  • Responsible for supervising and mentoring project managers
  • Leads and oversees overall project status management and deliverables for entire BI portfolio
  • Assist project managers project issues and action items
  • Be the first level of escalation point for project managers
  • Responsible for the deliverables, cost, schedule, and quality of BI portfolio
  • Develops/reviews/approves project plans and scope
  • Manages risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
  • Contributes to issue resolution
  • Allocates and directs staff and other resources to accomplish project tasks
  • Maintains full control over all aspects of projects
  • Monitors and drives the progress of the project managers and their teams including vendors, development teams and GMF employees
  • Updates the team about its progress and provides the team with support and direction
  • Manages and help project managers with coordination of people, tasks and dependencies to execute accordingly to the project plan
  • Produces timely and accurate reports to IT Program management and key stakeholders regarding progress, conflicts, risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
  • Resolves any issues with vendor resources working on different BI projects
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with vendor resources, vendor management, development teams, stakeholder and senior management Establishes a reliable communication channel with all stakeholders
  • Has thorough understanding of business matters and technical concepts required for successful project delivery
  • Uses appropriate knowledge, creativity, priorities, pragmatic and company practices to obtain solutions to complex problems
  • Interfaces with senior management on one side and assist project managers to provide and obtain information and to build consensus regarding project direction
  • Takes hands on approach to the management of all project activities and drives teams to deliver quality in a timely fashion
  • Create program level dashboards to provide different project level statistics during execution
  • Hold regular meetings with Business leaders to provide updates on program level status
  • Assists leadership with updates and tracking for BI level program across geography
  • Has good understanding and background on BI technologies and overall business domain
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Conform with all company policies and procedures
Qualifications

Skills
  • Ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships
Additional Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Spanish & English proficiency
Experience and Education
  • 7-10 years IT project management experience required
  • 3-5 years Business Intelligence & Data Warehouse experience required
  • Financial services industry experience preferred
  • Experience managing third party vendors preferred
  • PMP certification required
  • Scrum Master Certification required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or additional equivalent work or military experience preferred
Working Conditions
  • Available to travel internationally for business purposes on short notice, potentially for extended periods of time (up to 1 month)
