Blu Omega is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for a DOD program onsite in Norfolk, VA.

Candidates must have an active DoD Secret Clearance (or above) as a precondition of employment.

Introduction: We are seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer with at least 2 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring our services are highly available, scalable, and resilient to faults. You will play a crucial role in automating our operations processes and improving system performance.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and ensure the performance, availability, and scalability of IT systems. Develop and maintain automation tools for operational efficiency and system health. Implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices. Collaborate with development teams to enhance the design of services from the perspective of operability. Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues. Participate in on-call rotations for emergency response and proactive intervention. Document system designs, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 2 years experience in a Site Reliability Engineering role or similar. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash). Strong knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications in cloud technologies or DevOps toolchains. Experience with database management and caching mechanisms.
