PrideStaff is recruiting for a Fabricator/Welder for 1st Shift for a manufacturing company located in Fletcher.
Job Summary:Perform various welding duties based on received blueprints and instructions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform welding duties using wire welding GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), or GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding), according to blueprints.
- Adjust weld parameter as needed to accommodate varying thicknesses of steel and stainless steel
- Operate and/or use related equipment and tools which include forklifts, hoists, grinders (portable & bench), cutting torches, hand tools, drills, punches, a tape measure, and welding equipment.
- Accurately measure and lay out locations for welded components
- Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, follow daily start-up & basic maintenance list, and inform lead/supervisor of an issues/malfunctions.
- Travel to customer location and refurbish/fabricate and or weld on equipment
- Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, work instructions, and procedures.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other engineering documents
- Minimum of two years of fabrication experience
- Fabricating experience in heavy machinery
- Must have knowledge of the metric system
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
- Maintain level of work performance in accordance with company standards and/or job order
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulation
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00
