Fabricator/Welder  – 1st Shift  –  Fletcher –  Up to $23.00/hr.

PrideStaff is recruiting for a Fabricator/Welder for 1st Shift for a manufacturing company located in Fletcher.

Job Summary:  Perform various welding duties based on received blueprints and instructions. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding duties using wire welding GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), or GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding), according to blueprints.
  • Adjust weld parameter as needed to accommodate varying thicknesses of steel and stainless steel.
  • Operate and/or use related equipment and tools which include forklifts, hoists, grinders (portable & bench), cutting torches, hand tools, drills, punches, a tape measure, and welding equipment.
  • Accurately measure and lay out locations for welded components.
  • Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, follow daily start-up & basic maintenance list, and inform lead/supervisor of an issues/malfunctions.
  • Travel to customer location and refurbish/fabricate and or weld on equipment
  • Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, work instructions, and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other engineering documents
  • Minimum of two years of fabrication experience in heavy machinery 
  • Must have knowledge of the metric system
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel for weeks (June to September)
