As a Tax Manager at [CPA Firm Name], you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our clients' tax compliance and planning needs. Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients and serve as the primary point of contact for all tax-related matters.
  • Review and supervise the preparation of complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other entities.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to support tax planning initiatives and identify tax-saving opportunities for clients.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize clients' tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide proactive tax planning advice to clients on various matters such as business structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and estate planning.
  • Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate potential impacts to clients and colleagues.
  • Mentor and train staff members, providing guidance on tax technical matters, professional development, and client service best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the firm, such as audit and advisory services, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Participate in business development activities, including networking, client meetings, and proposal preparation, to expand the firm's client base and generate revenue.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to exceptional client service, responsiveness, and professionalism in all interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA license is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax compliance and planning.
  • Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research complex tax issues and develop innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work product, with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Proven leadership and management abilities, with experience supervising and developing staff members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
