Position Overview: As the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will be integral to overseeing the financial operations of the Company, focusing on strategic planning and analysis within the real estate sector. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Finance, you will lead a team responsible for financial forecasting, budgeting, and providing insights to support decision-making processes across our diverse portfolio of properties, as well as the corporate model.

This position empowers you to shape the financial strategy and direction of one of the premier real estate firms on the West Coast, driving innovation and growth in dynamic markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Forecasting:

  • Lead the development of annual budgets and long-range financial plans.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to senior management on financial performance.
  • Forecast cash flows and investment returns to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the corporate model, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Generate actionable insights to optimize revenue streams and mitigate risks.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor financial performance.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Provide guidance on complex financial matters and support professional development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
•Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the real estate industry.
•Strong understanding of financial principles and practices, including budgeting, forecasting, and investment analysis.
•Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Microsoft Excel.
•Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
•Proven leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
