In this role, you will be providing commercial financial support and financial governance to the senior finance team and business stakeholders. The role is crucial to support the financial management of the business, providing accounting data to assist with key decisions and ensure financial control is observed and maintained. You will be working in partnership to generate commercial financial insight and aid transformation to deliver business targets. Develop and maintain business stakeholder relationships, providing financial data to influence stakeholder function and commercial insight to the business leaders, persuading relevant stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of the business strategy and financial targets are achieved. Support with the accurate preparation and completion of functional budgeting and forecasts as directed, proactively tracking monthly and initiating appropriate action. Provide insight on key business planning assumptions, commercial and large deal pricing, and cost/revenue modelling activities to achieve finance growth and performance of allocated business functions. Work with the senior commercial finance team to aid strategic financial transformation, providing commercial influence to create sustainable and profitable divisions while upholding governance and financial regulation and compliance. In conjunction with the wider finance team, monitor cash position, commercial P&L / Line of Business performance and variance against the agreed budget, providing detailed trend analysis and exception reporting. Accountable for the activities associated with the month-end process for a specific area, working with the Financial Control team to ensure accurate results. Develop the monthly reporting pack and other reports, in conjunction with Finance colleagues and Business leaders, providing detailed analysis of financial performance, key insights, recommendations, and actions. Work closely with the Financial Control team to understand balance sheet risks and opportunities within their defined business areas, ensuring either opportunity exploitation or risk mitigation plans are identified and developed within the finance team. You will ideally have Exposure to commercial finance ideally within the IT Services sector within a comparable size organisation Newly qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or educated to degree level in Finance/accounting Intermediate knowledge of reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes Commercial thought and foresight Some exposure to successful finance transformation assignments Demonstrable ability to analyse and validate financial and performance data Comfortable communicating performance and influencing key stakeholders Ability to apply persuasive influence with key stakeholders, working closely with the sales community Adaptable to work in a growth and evolving environment Excellent presentation skills – able to translate complex data for a non-finance audience In return for your commitment, you can expect We’re looking for individuals with values and causes, strengths and weaknesses, passions and ideas.
