Job Description:

Do you dream about creating the next great cocktail?Do you count your pours while you sleep?If so, then this might be the position for youThe Bazaar Bartender is responsible for greeting, and serving guests, in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. The ideal candidate will be able to engage and cater to all guests in order to maximize the guest experience.

From smoking cocktails to spherified olives, The Bazaar offers a magical dining experience from James Beard Award-winning Chef Jos Andrs' in a fanciful, modern piazza by Philippe Starck. Chef Andrs combines traditional Spanish flavors with cutting edge culinary techniques in playful and sophisticated dishes while Starck uses design elements like elegant chandeliers and retro wallpaper to craft dramatic and inviting interiors. The Bazaar has locations in SLS Beverly Hills and SLS South Beach and SLS Hotel & Casino Las Vegas.

Job Focus:

Focus is on, but not limited to the following:

•Must love and support their TEAM

•Must love and take care of our guests

•Must say "yes" and "thank you" often

•Greet all guests warmly

•Prepares and services beverages for servers and guests in a quick, efficient and friendly manner

•Provides exceptional customer service to all guests

•Ensures that guests are served in accordance to State and local guidelines regarding the service of alcohol

•Performs proper cash, comp, and check control procedures

•Takes inventory of the bar on a regular basis

•Provides guests with accurate information about the restaurant and property as well as entertainment offered in each as needed

•Works with a sense of urgency to anticipate guest and team members needs when the opportunity arises

•Communicates with management, and service staff immediately to rectify any and all guest needs and requests

•Ensures work area is in compliance with the Southern Nevada Heath District health codes at all times

•Follows SAHARA Las Vegas Inventory Control requirements

•Must be able to pass pour test on a regular basis

•Keeps all stations stocked by polishing and distributing china, glassware, and silverware

•Responsible for taking guests orders for in room dining

Desired Qualifications:

•Prefer at least three (3) years of prior experience as a Bartender

•Must be at least 21 years of age or older

•Ability to obtain a valid Nevada Gaming card, Nevada POUR card, Nevada Alcohol Awareness Card and Nevada Food Handler Safety Training Card

•Has current expertise in the cocktail industry and knowledge of bar trends

•Must have an exceptional personality and hospitality driven attitude

•Dedicated and willing to go above and beyond

•Exceptional communication skills and articulation

•Able to take initiative in a VIP driven and guest service focused environment

•Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment and maintain focused on the details

•Must be able to stand for long periods of time

•Ability to lead a bar team, delegate, support, and inspire, in order to deliver management speciation's and uphold company's standards.

•Ability to create and develop cocktails and a bar program that match company's concept and standards.
