The Role

As a Bartender at the Illuminarium in Las Vegas, you are responsible for delivering the ultimate experience for our guests . The Illuminarium Caf and our Night Life After Dark program offers a unique food & beverage experience, inspired by ingredients and customs that align with the theme being presented within the attraction. This means guests can order local cuisine from or unique foods and cocktails inspired by our themes. Caf associates will utilize storytelling, introducing unique flavors that can be found on the menu and encourage guests to choose something they have never tried before. Our Bartenders are responsible for positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

* Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the Food & Beverage SOP

* Ensure proficient up to date knowledge of all Illuminarium products, promotions and services

* Check guests identification to verify legal age requirements, assuring appropriate measures to ensure guests are not overserved

* Remain observant to guests needs and well informed on menus and specials. Utilize suggestive sales techniques to drive revenue and sale through

* Operate the bar in the caf and the nighttime experience, prepare drinks, and provide information on menu options to guests

* Manage operational readiness of the caf bar and set up and break down of the bars for the nighttime experience and required support for events

* Ensure the bar and its surroundings remain clean including, but not limited to back of bar floors, bar chairs and general look and feel. Coordinate with Porters on inventory of china and small ware.

* Perform other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required

**QUALIFICATIONS** To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

* 21 years of age.

* Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.

* Certification as a mixologist from a reputable bartending school preferred

* Must be able to obtain and maintain an Alcohol Awareness (TAM) card, non-gaming card, Health card and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.

* 2 years of experience as a Bartender in a bar/nightclub environment.

* Experience in a luxury brand preferred.

* Bottle Service experience preferred.

* Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.

* Creative thinker, support with the creation of new items on the bar menu, anticipate guest needs

* Ability to operate independently and with discretion and work effectively under pressure

* Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks including constant reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time

* Eye for detail, flexibility in daily tasks, problem solver, result oriented

* Ability to retain detailed information related to all Illuminarium products, promotions & services Engaging, personable and positive attitude, strong customer service and interpersonal skills

* Ability to stand and walk extended distances both indoors and outdoors, lift and transport items weighing 10-20 pounds, occasionally 30 pounds. Support with event set up and tear down.

* Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
