What Your Role Will Look Like:
The Junior Staff Accountant is responsible for various financial and accounting tasks within the company. They play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Financial Recordkeeping: Maintaining and updating financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, commissions, expense reports, all company credit cards, bank reconciliations, and cash applications
  • Financial Analysis: Preparation of financial statements, such as income statements, 1099's, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, by gathering and analyzing financial data
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts by collecting and analyzing data, and monitoring actual performance against budgeted figures
  • Accounts Payable: Processing and monitoring invoices and purchase orders from vendors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Journal Entries: Recording and reconciling financial transactions, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation, to ensure accurate financial reporting and general ledger
  • Compliance and Audit Support: Assisting with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations (GAAP&IFRS)
  • Financial Reporting: Preparation of financial reports for management and stakeholders including weekly labor reports
  • Taxation: Assisting with tax-related activities, such as tax audits and sales and use tax, and maintaining tax records in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Financial Systems and Software: Utilizing accounting software and financial systems to input and extract data, reconcile accounts, generate reports, and streamline processes and identify inefficiencies
  • Collaboration and Support: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as finance, operations, and procurement, to provide accounting support, resolve issues, and ensure accurate financial data
