Consulting Project Technical Manager

Job Description

The Consulting Project Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of multiple client-facing consulting projects within the Energy & Water and Construction and Engineering industries. This includes managing financials, scope alignment, scope creep, schedule adherence, resources, and margin.

Day to day Responsibilities:

Plan and lead project execution, ensuring the successful implementation of the contracted services

Scope, plan, and coordinate all aspects of the project and project resources utilizing standard and recommended Project Management processes and practices

Plan and organize work into discrete tasks that can be implemented, tested, and refined within the constraints of project requirements

Responsible for ensuring alignment of staffing, forecast, overall financial budget, and margin for projects

Communicate to and manage expectations of program stakeholders

Implement projects, ensuring achievement of business objectives, profitability, and quality

Build relationships of trust with clients, teams, and stakeholders

Provide consistent creative and high-quality solution leadership ensuring project quality and timely delivery within budget to the customer’s satisfaction

Requirements:

6-10+ years of client-facing project management or implementation consulting experience leading software implementation efforts

Experience within the Energy & Water or Construction and Engineering software industry strongly preferred

Demonstrated ability to follow solid project management principles

Comfortable working in a matrix management environment

Strong communication skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience

Ability to travel as needed up to 75%
