Mission of the Role: To support financial processes, gain hands-on experience in accounting tasks, contribute to accurate financial record keeping, collaborating with team members, and actively learning to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical work environment.

Key Deliverables:

  • Control testing documentation
  • Footnote preparation and tie-outs
  • updates to policies and procedures etc.
Key Objectives of this Role:
  • Work alongside Visteon's Accounting professionals and cross-functional groups
  • Perform SOX controls testing to ensure controls are working as intended and to detect any gaps in the internal control process, as well as document findings
  • Assist external auditors by providing support and coordinating with their team
  • Assist in the financial reporting process during the quarter-end by preparing footnotes, booking journal entries, and preparing accounting reconciliations
  • Other ad-hoc accounting assignment as needed
Key Performance Indicators: Timely production of reports and completion of tasks.

Key Deliverables: Metrics and outcomes that the individual will be expected to deliver by the end of the internship.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:
  • Availability to intern at a full-time status (~40 hours weekly)
  • Sophomore/Junior standing pursuing an Accounting degree
  • Ability to multi-task with different projects
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Strong analytical/quantitative skills.

Reporting Structure: The Accounting intern will report to a manager within the Corporate Reporting group.
