Summary of Position

This position serves as the chief financial officer and investment officer for the College. This position provides executive leadership, direction, and management for the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the finance and administration support services of the College. Administration support areas include facilities and construction, business services, marketing and risk management.

Minimum Required Education

Masters degree in accounting, business administration, or related field from a nationally or regionally accredited institution of higher education

CPA certification preferred.

Minimum Required Experience

Five years experience in higher education resource management at the executive level; or ten years experience in resource management at the senior management level with a minimum of five years in higher education. Resource management experience includes financial management, facilities and construction, business services, marketing or risk management.

Texas community college and/or House Bill 8 experience preferred.

Demonstrated experience of positive and proactive approaches in identifying problems, creating innovative solutions, managing projects, leading teams through collaboration, and implementing efficiencies and effectiveness using technology.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

+ Ability to develop long and short-term strategies in support of the college mission.

+ Demonstrated organizational skills in handling and directing multiple and complex assignments and projects.

+ Skill in working effectively in a team environment with a customer service focus.

+ Knowledge of local, state and federal compliance and reporting requirements.

+ Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; and effectively present information to top management, governing body, and other groups.

+ Demonstrated supervisory, management, organizational and leadership skills.

+ Ability to interact effectively with local, state and federal officials, board members, support professionals, staff and the public.

+ Ability to coordinate various planning committees to include: Master Facilities Planning, Strategic Planning and Budget Planning.

Salary 1B, based on experience

Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - Mon-Thu 7:30-5:30 Fri 7:30-11:30
