Job Summary:The Systems Engineer I (Windows) will be responsible for all aspects of enterprise Microsoft Windows Server environments including comprehensive administration, maintenance, monitoring, and technical support. The Systems Engineer is also responsible for analyzing, testing, and providing improvement recommendations for all Microsoft Windows Server issues encountered. This position will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Windows infrastructure solutions, applying industry-accepted best practices to ensure high availability for our hospital customers.

Education:Required:High School Diploma or equivalent. Equivalent work experience in technology management.

Preferred:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, B. Tech

Experience:Required:Basic understanding and proficiency with Citrix or Microsoft serversMinimum of 1-3 years' experience with implementing or supporting large-scale IT operations of at least 100 serversMinimum of one year of relevant experience across multiple technical disciplines, in design, engineering, implementation and support technology streamsWorking knowledge of Cisco/Dell/EMC/HP/IBM hardwareKnowledge of ITIL Processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management)Ability to think critically, assess input, and develop creative solutions to identified or potential problems

Preferred:ITIL CertificationBasic understanding of software and hardware licensing and support/maintenance agreementsSuperior customer service, organization, documentation, and planning skillsAbility to coordinate a project and lead others effectivelySelf-motivated, eager to learn and progress career in ITTeam player must be able to work with people within and outside of the IT department

Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/RegistrationRequired:Valid Driver's License

Preferred:VMware Certified Associate (VCA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Cisco Certified Technician (CTA), Citrix Certified Associate (CCA), or CompTIA Server+ certification

Department Position Summary:The Systems Engineer I (Windows) will be responsible for all aspects of enterprise Microsoft Windows Server environments including comprehensive administration, maintenance, monitoring, and technical support. The Systems Engineer is also responsible for analyzing, testing, and providing improvement recommendations for all Microsoft Windows Server issues encountered. This position will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Windows infrastructure solutions, applying industry-accepted best practices to ensure high availability for our hospital customers.

Operational support, maintenance, administration, and configuration management for Windows Server and virtual computing platforms.

Required to provide on-call support and work off-shifts as necessary, in rotation with other engineers.

Position requires knowledge of Windows server operations: antivirus, backup/recovery, monitoring, patching, security, etc.

Focus efforts on automation and optimization by utilizing scripting, monitoring, and performance metrics to develop stronger systems and processes.

Provide technical support in the installation, implementation, testing and troubleshooting of hardware, operating system and applications within assigned areas of responsibility

Responsible for desktop virtualization, remote desktop, virtual application, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) products

Basic understanding of software and hardware licensing and support/maintenance agreements

Works with Erlanger customers, management, contracted consultants, other support teams and systems vendors in evaluating, planning, designing and specifying system requirements for new and existing hardware and software solutions

Provide status reports on systems and services

Participate in On-Call schedule as needed.
