Description

Performs general duties in a Human Resources department. Screens employment applications, administers pre-employment tests. Checks employment forms for induction of new employees. Completes detail work in connection enrollment in group insurance, identification cards, attendance and absentee records. Establishes and maintains confidential personnel records reflecting changes in employee status and various Personnel Actions, including counsels and performance recognitions. Performs other specific human resources projects as assigned Operates a computer terminal.

Essential Functions:
  • Posts job vacancies, performs initial screenings of applications and coordinates interviews.
  • Utilizes a computer terminal in conjunction with HRIS.
  • Performs general clerical duties in human resources. Maintains files of various documents and prepares documents for file scanning.
  • Answers questions from outside callers and walk-in visitors, prospective and current employees, and other departments regarding job vacancies, employee status, company policies and other various HR functions.
  • Attends daily coordination/information and all scheduled department division, and company-wide meetings and training sessions.
  • Manages the office reception area and duties including answering the telephone, administering tests, issuing final paychecks, sending human resource documents and/or final paychecks via certified mail etc.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Employment Manager.
Requirements
  • Familiar with federal and state labor laws and regulations governing human resources policies, operations and procedures.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills.
  • Fluent in English speaking, reading and writing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school graduate required.
  • Preferred two-year degree in HR or business management with one-year work experience in Human Resource.
  • Second language recommended but not required.


Work Schedule:
To Be Determined (40 Hours Per Week)
