The Opportunity:
As a Digital Forensic Analyst, you play a key role in the incident response program. We're looking for someone to flex their know how in collecting, analyzing, and presenting digital evidence in support of computer investigations. You'll apply basic principles, theories, and concepts accompanied by industry knowledge. You'll utilize forensically sound procedures such as duplication of the evidence, including forensic image to ensure the original evidence is not modified and process various types of media, including but is not limited to, hard drives, compact disks, solid state storage media, mobile phones, GPS, and all tape formats. You'll conduct analysis of digital evidence to support computer security incidents to derive useful information in support of system and network vulnerability mitigation. You'll support the development of new detection capability by integrating the results of malware and forensic analysis tasks into new and existing detection use cases in order to prevent future occurrences. You'll be responsible for maintaining currency as data sources, analysis tools, and techniques evolve to changes in the technical computing environment as well as by mandates from higher echelon organizations.

You Have:
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity
- Experience with Windows, Apple OSX, and Linux operating systems operations and artifacts
- Experience with SIEM technologies, including Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or Elastic
- Experience with forensics tools, including Magnet Axiom, EnCase, FRED suites of various classifications and configurations, Forensic Falcon and FTK
- Experience with performing forensic imaging, remote collection, and forensic analysis
- Experience with malware analysis, including static, dynamic, and reverse engineering
- Experience with performing root cause analysis and following through with all phases of the incident response lifecycle
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree or 6+ years of experience with systems engineering and computing platforms in lieu of a degree
- Experience with acquiring memory from the host and performing memory analysis (RAM) with tools, including Volatility
- Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools, including CrowdStrike Falcon and FireEye HX
- Experience with performing analysis of packet capture using tools, including WireShark
- Experience with Python or PowerShell
- Experience with performing Incident Response and Forensics in cloud computing environments
- Knowledge of Enterprise Network Architecture, including routing, switching, common protocols, including DHCP, DNS, or HTTP, and devices, including Firewalls, Proxies, or VPN
- Knowledge of the lifecycle of cyber security threats, attacks, attack vectors, and methods of exploitation
- Knowledge of intrusion set tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
- ACE, EnCE, GCFE, CCI, GREM, CHFI, GCFA, or CCFP Forensic Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
