Summary:

Reporting to the CTO, the incumbent supports the data and reporting initiatives and operations for JT Logistics and any associated companies or subsidiaries. The duties of the job holder include designing, configuring, and installing data tools and systems with a focus on report generation and business insights. In short, we are seeking a skilled and motivated person to join our dynamic team. This person is responsible for developing and maintaining PowerBI reports, designing our data lake, and creating related applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions:

Design (25%)

Work with stakeholders to identify methods to acquire data and ingest into appropriate systems

Design, implement, and maintain the companys data lake architecture.

Work closely with IT and other departments to ensure seamless data integration and accessibility.

Monitor and optimize the performance of the data lake to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.

Implement data governance and security measures to protect sensitive information.

Power BI Development (45%)

Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards to provide insights and support decision-making processes.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in reports and dashboards.
  • Perform regular updates and maintenance of Power BI reports to reflect changing business needs.

Data Analysis (30%)

Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

  • Create and present detailed reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Utilize advanced analytics techniques to support business strategy and operations.

Power BI

Equipment:

Computers and peripherals, phones, photocopiers, fax machines, and hand tools.

Safety:

Follow JT Logistics safety policies and procedures.

Special Conditions of Employment:

Employment is contingent on successfully passing pre-employment background check and drug screening.

  • Frequent local and some overnight travel required.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of full-time work experience in analytics and PowerBI development
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
