Core Responsibilities & Duties: + Load and unload goods from trucks by forklift and by hand. + Organize dock space for receiving incoming shipments. + Maintain inventory of shipments and cargo on-hand in the warehouse. + Pick, wrap, and stage orders to be shipped. + Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the warehouse. + Stack goods in the correct storage lanes, following inventory control instructions. + Check that loads are secure. + Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment, sweep, mop, etc. + Perform all computer or necessary technology gadgets necessary to track various aspects of goods when needed. + Assist other departments as needed. + Crosstrain as needed to learn all warehouse functions. + Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements & Qualifications: + Good math, reading, writing, and communication skills. + Sorting and grouping skills. + Must be able to read and understand the difference in product labels and load ticket instructions. + Must be able to count large quantities of products and materials. + Must be able to read/hear and understand procedures for performing work. + Must be able to work in a warehouse environment that is not climate controlled with exposure to hot/humid or cold weather conditions. + Familiar with cross dock, trans loads, and distribution. + Must have at least 2 yrs. experience on sit-down Forklift. + Must have great communication with co-workers and management.
