Core Responsibilities & Duties:

* Load and unload goods from trucks by forklift and by hand.
* Organize dock space for receiving incoming shipments.
* Maintain inventory of shipments and cargo on-hand in the warehouse.
* Pick, wrap, and stage orders to be shipped.
* Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the warehouse.
* Stack goods in the correct storage lanes, following inventory control instructions.
* Check that loads are secure.
* Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment, sweep, mop, etc.
* Perform all computer or necessary technology gadgets necessary to track various aspects of goods when needed.
* Assist other departments as needed.
* Crosstrain as needed to learn all warehouse functions.
* Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

* Good math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
* Sorting and grouping skills.
* Must be able to read and understand the difference in product labels and load ticket instructions.
* Must be able to count large quantities of products and materials.
* Must be able to read/hear and understand procedures for performing work.
* Must be able to work in a warehouse environment that is not climate controlled with exposure to hot/humid or cold weather conditions.
* Familiar with cross dock, trans loads, and distribution.
* Must have at least 2 yrs. experience on sit-down Forklift.
* Must have great communication with co-workers and management.
