Job Description
The key objectives of the Compensation Business Partner role at Gusto, Inc. are to analyze, develop, and implement compensation programs and policies that are competitive, equitable, and aligned with Gusto's goals and compliance requirements. The role involves acting as the primary compensation partner for recruiting teams, HR business partners, and organization leaders, developing innovative compensation strategies to attract and retain top talent, providing guidance on various compensation-related activities, fostering a culture of continuous analytics, conducting annual benchmarking of job roles, collaborating with the Finance team to establish appropriate budgets for compensation programs, and continuously evaluating and refining job architecture and job leveling approaches. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, a minimum of 5 years of corporate and/or consulting experience in compensation, strong expertise in developing compensation models, knowledge of industry trends and legal considerations, familiarity with benchmarking surveys and methodologies, and the ability to effectively communicate complex compensation concepts to senior leaders and partners.Analyzing compensation programs and policies,Developing compensation strategies,Providing guidance on compensation activities,Conducting benchmarking of job roles,Collaborating with Finance team for budgeting,Refining job architecture and leveling approaches,Communicating complex compensation conceptsAnalyzing, developing, and implementing compensation programs and policies to ensure competitiveness, equity, and alignment with goals and compliance requirements,Acting as the primary compensation partner for recruiting teams, HR business partners, and organization leaders,Developing and executing innovative compensation strategies to attract and retain top talent,Providing guidance and support on various compensation-related activities, including new hire offers, analysis of recruiting trends, promotions, international pay, and performance-related compensation decisions,Conducting annual benchmarking of job roles to ensure competitive compensation structures,Assisting in the implementation of ongoing compensation programs and tools, offering deep insights to support informed compensation decisions by organizational leaders,Evaluating and refining the job architecture and job leveling approach to facilitate effective hiring, career advancement, job evaluation, and the delivery of competitive compensation packages,Collaborating with the Finance team to establish appropriate budgets for compensation programs
