**Description**

**SUMMARY**

Under minimal supervision, the Event Specialist plans and executes events for the purpose of building brand and product awareness in both endemic and non-endemic markets and developing a connection between customers, dealers, industry leaders and centers of influence. Travels across country and transports motorcycles and equipment for events. Partners with other parties to ensure all event activities run smoothly. Events may consist of product displays or motorcycle riding demonstrations. Interacts with customers, dealers, journalists, influencers, and VIP guests, as required.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Plans and executes various types of events including dealer and customer demos, media/press launches, tradeshows and other corporate events. Works with other event specialists and other stakeholders in providing event support to ensure all tasks are completed according to event project plan and schedule.

* Coordinates various tasks prior to and on day of event. Includes, but is not limited to, preparing insurance documentation as required, organizing various items with tracks and promoters, driving a sprinter van/trailer to the event in order to transport spare parts, fuel and lubricants, tools, E-Z Up tents, coolers for drinks and refreshments and motorcycle stands.

* Prepares motorcycles for each event to ensure a safe demo ride site. Facilitates motocross, off-road, and/or street motorcycle demo rides, as required. May also assist with other motocross, off-road, and/or street motorcycle demos, as needed, such as company meetings.

* Following each event, cleans the motorcycles, van, trailer and all equipment; makes repairs as needed and proceeds to the next event.

* Responsible for submitting written reports for the events as well as signed release forms and contact information on each participant.

* In the event of an accident/injury during an event, responsible for managing the situation and follow-up as needed using established guidelines/procedures.

* May assist in refurbishing motorcycles during non-event times and/or assisting in media functions, as required.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

* When not attending events helps with organization of events area at Murrieta office.

**EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:** Generally, requires a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the motorcycle, automotive or action sports industries. Competency in trials, off-road and street motorcycle riding required. Strong mechanical abilities and familiarity with motorcycles strongly preferred. Required proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. **Valid Class C drivers license with current medical certificate required. Valid motorcycle license required.**

**EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:** High school diploma required.

**OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:**

* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy; must be team player

* Clean driving record.

* Self-starter and able to work independently with limited direction.

* Competent off-road/street motorcyclist, including trials; Ability to ride a motorcycle with proficiency and follow company riding policies.

* Good mechanical skills.

* Microsoft office suite proficient.

* High personal standards in keeping all equipment neat, clean and presentable to make a professional presentation.

* Attention to detail

* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven and constantly changing environment

* Flexibility to switch gears with little notice

* Excellent organization skills

* Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines and understand when to escalate potential issues

* Basic math skills

* Must be internal and external customer focused

* Analytical abilities

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:** None

**External:** Dealers, customers, press, influencers, VIP guests

**JUDGEMENT/REASONING ABILITY:** Ability to recognize discrepancies and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy. Requires ability to use judgment and reasoning skills and determine when issues need to be escalated.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT:** The noise in the work environment is usually moderate. Other factors are:

* Must be able to travel extensively (roughly 30 exhibition/demo events per year).

* Ability to work extended hours as required.

* Hectic, fast-paced with multi-level distractions.

* Professional, yet casual office work environment, while in office.
