Description: The Senior Systems Engineering & Integration Engineer will provide systems engineering support for the Space launch System (SLS), Stages Element Office, Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Team. Provide Project Engineering support to integrate solutions to issues, facilitate integrated discussions, participate in task teams, and document reviews, provide status on issues and deliverables, help maintain open communication with the SLS Stages Team. Responsibilities: Specific job functions include insight and oversight of contractor integrated analysis teams and participation with the following activities: + SLS Program Vehicle Management team participation + Stages Loads & Environments Risk management. + Contract Task Order Technical Management (for execution) Provide other technical support of programmatic activities to Stages SE&I personnel as needed. Duties may include, but not be limited to, the following: + Providing programmatic and technical recommendations + Assisting in planning activities + Supporting trade studies, contract modifications and evaluations + Performing systems assessments + Making technical risk management inputs + Supporting reviews, working groups and boards + Providing periodic status inputs to project **Here’s what you’ll need** : Degree in Engineering or related field is required. Degree from an ABET accredited university preferred. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a Ph.D., with minimum of 9 years of experience, a Masters with at least 13 years of experience, or BS with at least 15 years of experience. The following skills/experience are required: + Extensive coordination and integration with prime contractors + Knowledge of the NASA change request process + Knowledge of waiver and contract Engineering Change Proposals (ECP’s) + Knowledge of the NASA Systems Engineering Management Plan + Experience with risk concepts, management, and tracking. The following skills/experience are highly desired: + Experience in design, development, test, and evaluation of Space Systems + An understanding and knowledge of the current SLS program and a working understanding of the SLS vehicle and interfaces.
