Noblis MSD is seeking a skilled Lubricants Engineer (with a background in Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering) to join our team working on advanced systems for the US Navy.

Candidates for this position will provide support to the Navy's Lube Oil Quality Management (LOQM) Program.

The candidate will be responsible for:

Performing evaluations and analysis of shipboard testing results and commercial lab testing results collected at remote sites.

Interface with Navy shipboard personnel to evaluate and maintain quality of shipboard lube oil and fuel oil programs.

Make lube oil machinery recommendations to ships force, inspectors and shoreside maintenance personnel.

Provide on-site training of LOQM best practices and shipboard lab equipment to shipboard personnel.

This position will have the potential for a hybrid work environment.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering, and two (2) years of experience in U.S. Navy ship systems, including mechanical/electrical system design, repair, installation, modification, operation, maintenance, and testing.

    Possess or be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with lubricating oils.
  • Laboratory testing and data analysis experience.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis total compensation package for employees.

Posted Salary Range:
USD $56,000.00 - USD $87,500.00 /Yr.
