QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures all operational and safety procedures are properly followed. Accomplishes all daily tasks including laundry, sweeping, moping, trash, etc. Communicates effectively any issues that may come up throughout the day. Meets goals of production. Reports to the manager any cleaning products or supplies that are running low. Other duties as assigned or required. Competencies Communication Proficiency. Teamwork Orientation. Supervisory Responsibility None Experience and Education: High school diploma or GED diploma. Previous cleaning experience in a nursing home or hospital setting preferred. Work Environment This job operates in a health care setting. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the facility. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
