Job Title: Lead Process Mechanical Engineer

(Wastewater Design)

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead Wastewater Design Engineer to join our team on a fully remote basis. The successful candidate will have strong experience in wastewater design, treatment plant design, and pumping system design, with experience preparing construction documents and technical reports. As a Lead Wastewater Engineer, you will be responsible for leading design tasks and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects.

Work Environment:

This is a 100% REMOTE opportunity

Schedule:

Flexible - Monday - Friday (7am-4pm OR 9am-6pm)

Responsibilities:

+ Design wastewater treatment plants, pumping systems, and other water infrastructure projects

+ Prepare construction documents, including drawings, P&IDs, specifications, control narratives, and technical reports

+ Lead design tasks and collaborate with project teams to ensure successful project delivery

+ Develop and review engineering calculations and designs for wastewater treatment plants and pumping systems

+ Participate in project meetings and contribute to project planning and execution

+ Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and designers

+ Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards

+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

Requirements:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering

+ 3-8 years of experience in wastewater design, treatment plant design, and pumping system design

+ EIT certification preferred

+ Experience preparing construction documents including drawings, P&IDs, specifications, control narratives, and technical reports for a variety of municipal water and wastewater projects

+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MathCAD

+ Experience as a Task Design Lead or equivalent role

+ Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering

+ Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months

+ Experience with design software such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Revit, or similar programs

+ Strong communication and collaboration skills
