Assisted management in resolving variances. + Internally prepare all the data, month-end year end, loans, and bank reconciliations, up to where the return would be completed. + The company does not have an HR Team so the financial duties fall into this person's plate. + Payroll 50 employees (in DELTEK) Primarily reporting and 940's and 941s payroll returns, unemployment insurance, oversees the insurance renewals, prequalification process (process only involves communicating with outside vendors 1-2 times a year). + Manage Junior Accountant and current intern. + Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable. + Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results. + Analyze financial information and summarize financial status. + Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending. + Partner with the ownership group to analyze data, forecast projects, implement budget changes, updates and overall collaborate to ensure company finances are in line. Qualifications: + Associate's Degree in Accounting or similar; Bachelor's Degree in accounting preferred. + DELTEK Accounting ERP experience required. + Experience in the engineering, construction, development, or similar industry preferred. + Project accounting experience preferred. + Proven tenure in a fully cycle technical accounting role. + Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
