Terms and conditions apply **The operating rooms of VCU Medical Center and The Children's Hospital of Richmond provide care 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. VCU Medical Center is the only Level 1 trauma center verified by the American College of Surgeons in Richmond, VA. Anesthesia Technicians at VCU Health provide support to Anesthesiologists and Nurse Anesthetists at over 70 anesthetizing sites within VCU Medical Center and The Children's Hospital of Richmond. Anesthesia Technicians prepare equipment and supplies for surgical cases and procedures and provide support to the anesthesia care team. The Anesthesia Tech Supervisor serves as operational supervisor to the Anesthesia Technicians. This position supervises and oversees day-to-day function of Anesthesia Technicians.Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:Five years anesthesia support experience or Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) orTechnologist by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologist and Technicians (ASATT), orLPN, or EMT-P with a minimum of (3+) years' experience in an anesthesia support role, orEMT-B, CNA Licensure, CMA, or CCMA with a minimum of (5+) years' experience in an anesthesia support role.Current BLS certificationLicensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:Current Certification in A.T, Technologist, or Technologist by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologist and Technicians (ASATT), orLPN, or EMT-P with a minimum of (3+) years' experience in an anesthesia support role, orEMT-B, CNA Licensure, CMA, or CCMA with a minimum of (5+) years' experience in an anesthesia support role.Current BLS certification Experience REQUIRED:Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a medical support role in AnesthesiaExperience PREFERRED:Five (5) + years of experience as a Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.
