What You Will Do
As the Retail Activation Coordinator, you will drive sales growth and manage store-level relationships, merchandising, and product placement. Reporting to the founder, you will support trade shows, manage accounts, open new opportunities, and collaborate with internal teams. This role is hands-on and requires a strong field presence.
Responsibilities:
- Increase sales velocity in the Mid-Atlantic region (VA, DC, PA, S NJ) and along the East Coast, with a focus on key retailers such as Whole Foods Market, Wegmans, independents, and Kroger
- Manage relationships at the store level and travel frequently to build and maintain relationships
- Oversee merchandising and ensure effective product placement
- Plan and execute retail promotions and campaigns
- Support trade show appearances
- Manage existing accounts and open new opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams to utilize marketing materials and track KPIs
- Conduct product demos and maintain a strong field presence
You are highly organized and capable of juggling multiple tasks simultaneously. Your enthusiasm and passion for the CPG industry drive your work. You thrive in a collaborative environment and excel in communication. You contribute sales experience and your go-getter attitude, and are a proactive team player committed to delivering results.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years in a sales or sales support role within the CPG industry, preferably food-related.
- Passion for the better-for-you space is a must.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Self-starter, organized, positive, detail-oriented; passion for relationships and community-building.
- Enthusiastic, flexible, problem-solver.
- Location: Based in the Mid-Atlantic region. Must have a reliable vehicle with willingness to travel extensively (~75%).
- Familiarity with distributors and major retail accounts like Whole Foods and Wegmans is preferred.
