Senior Accountant

Park Place Technologies is a successful and rapidly growing technology company headquartered in Cleveland, OH. The global accounting group in Cleveland is seeking a qualified candidate to join the team. What you'll do in the role:

  • Perform recurring procedures related to the month-end close process, including performing calculations and account reconciliation, preparing journal entries, and preparing financial reports.
  • Analyze monthly financial results, including investigation into budget/forecast vs. actual results.
  • Perform root-cause analysis to identify sources of errors and issues when encountered.
  • Design new controls and procedures to prevent errors and issues, including teaming with other members of Accounting as well as cross-functionally with FP&A, IT, and Operations teams.
  • Participate in annual budget process with FP&A.
  • Assist with various general accounting projects that may arise during the year such as accounting for business combinations and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
  • Coordinate and communicate with international team members on various accounting matters.
  • Support the consolidated global audit, international statutory audits, and income tax filings.
  • Perform various analysis in Microsoft Excel to respond to ad hoc requests from management.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to staff accountants and interns.
  • Review work prepared by staff accountants and interns.
What we're looking for:
  • 2+ years of auditing/accounting experience.
  • Motivation to take ownership over all responsibilities and commitments.
  • Detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and comfort using Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with financial reporting projects, business combinations, or system integrations.
  • Experience performing audits or responding to audit requests.
Education:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Preferred: CPA certification or interest in pursuing CPA.
