ob Summary:
As the OTP Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in administering all medical services within the program. You will have the opportunity to lead an innovative team of clinicians and addiction medicine professionals ensuring the highest quality of care while fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be instrumental in driving the success of our OTP clinic and making a lasting impact on the community.
Essential Job Functions
:
Leadership and Oversight: Monitor patient care, medical and treatment policies and procedures. Oversee all medical care provided within the clinic and maintain your own patient panel.
Strategic Recommendations: Provide recommendations to the MSO regarding medical practice, medical member/patient care protocols, services, evidence-based outcomes, care models, clinical, administration and healthcare community collaboration.
Safety and Compliance: Oversee the Dispensary Manager functions, ensuring the safety, security, and accountability of methadone and other scheduled medications. Maintain a strong policy knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local rules, laws, and regulations, and ensure compliance with Board of Health, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.
Community and Coordination: Work closely with agency medical providers and site managers to ensure the delivery of coordinated services to patients. Engage with the local medical provider community on issues of continuity of care and education about our treatment modalities.
Consultation and Communication: Provide consultation via telephone or videoconference as needed and maintain regular communication with the MSO, attending meetings as requested.
Training and Development: Participate in Federal and State substance abuse training and continuing education to stay abreast of the latest developments in addiction medicine.
Positive Interactions: Interact with all staff in a positive and motivational fashion, supporting the company’s mission and Best Practice Patient Experience.
Supervision: Provide direct supervision to clinical personnel and relay corporate mandates, goals, and objectives.
Position requires an MD or DO degree and an active physician license in the state of Washington.
Certification by the American Society of Addiction Medicine or the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology is preferred.
Must have at least one year of addiction medicine experience; Methadone experience required.
The nature of this position is ?fast-paced in high-stress situations and conditions.
Must have knowledge of the patient population as well as the properties and side effects of opiate replacement medications and other drugs the patients may use.
No history of alcohol or other drug misuse for a period of 3 years prior to employment as the Medical Director and does not display evidence of alcohol or other drugs while employed as the OTP Medical Director.
