The Opportunity: Multiple physician practices in the NJ Metro area are seeking a qualified and experienced Physician Practice CFO to join their team. In this critical role, you will oversee the financial operations of multiple practices, providing strategic financial guidance and ensuring their long-term financial health. About the Role: You will be a key member of the senior leadership team, working collaboratively with physicians and practice administrators across multiple locations. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of financial management, ensuring the practices operate efficiently and profitably. Responsibilities: Develop and implement financial strategies and policies for all affiliated physician practices. Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Manage and ensure the accuracy of financial records for all practices. Analyze financial data and identify trends to support strategic decision-making for each practice. Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians and practice administrators. Negotiate contracts with payers and vendors on behalf of the practices. Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations. Lead the physician practice finance team and mentor staff. Qualifications: Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in healthcare finance or a related field, with a strong focus on financial analysis and accounting. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license. Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required), Master's degree in Accounting (MAcc) a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven leadership experience. In-depth knowledge of healthcare reimbursement models (a plus). Experience with financial modeling and forecasting. Proficiency in financial reporting software and healthcare specific applications (e.g., practice management systems).
