Process Engineer Manager

Provide technical leadership to manufacturing and the process engineering teams through the Process Engineers' supervision. Drive improvement results and initiatives through a broad understanding of equipment and process principles, accepted problem-solving tools and methods, practices and procedures. Assist, educate, coach and develop Process Engineers.
Responsibilities
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop the members of the Process Engineering Team towards their personal/team objectives and competencies. Ensure product and process documentation is completed.
Work with leadership team to identify improvement projects and set priorities.
Review statistically analyzed data to identify trends in product quality and process stability. Where needed, develop and execute actions for improvement.
Review product performance and quality issues. Develop and execute action plans needed to identify root causes and address issues. Implement corrective action.
Provide technical leadership to the process teams and the manufacturing departments.
Drive loss reduction, root cause identification and elimination.
Ensure compliance with established systems and procedures on assigned projects. Develop, improve, update and implement work instructions, CIL's, CL's and other documentation where needed.
Ensure that engineering documentation (i.e. manuals, drawings, BOM, ECO, etc.) is maintained on all production equipment and engineering projects.
Execute other assignments as needed.
Considerable portion of time (50+%) spent on the floor working with, providing coaching to, and participating with the Process Engineers and operations.
ONGOING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reliability
Leads team and assists in addressing systemic issues with PR and stops, and solving issues to root cause identification and elimination.
Owns overall team plan (integrating tam members, training, role changes, etc.).
Delivery
Responsible for coaching PE's to deliver desired results.
Holds 1:1s/ performance evaluations with Process Engineers.
Holds team members accountable to standards and for results.
Accountable for results including DWS progression, stops reduction, PR improvement, reapplication of solutions and improvements, tracking and reporting of initiatives, and resolution of quality issues.

Qualifications
Ability to analyze complex data to find clear causes of loss
The ability to problem solve and collaborate in teams.
Knowledge and understanding of DWS process, principles, and problem-solving tools. (or similar work processes to drive improvement and eliminate losses)
Highly motivated, self-driven, and eager to learn new skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal, time management and analytical skills.
A desire to work in a fast paced, hands-on manufacturing environment with technicians and equipment.
Have a BS degree in engineering.
5+ years of experience in engineering/manufacturing roles
Supervisory/management experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Must demonstrate aptitude to manage people, set the example by own conduct and work habits, make prompt and competent decisions, and use authority wisely.
Ability to have a flexible work schedule when needed- to accommodate our 24x7 operations.
Ability to coach, motivate, and hold employees accountable.
Must be able to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced and changing manufacturing environment.
Ability to grow into larger role(s) and accept additional responsibility to support company and business needs.
