Research Grants and Contract Administrator

Pay rate: $29.21 - $35.00 (Depending on experience)
Schedule: 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday (Remote 3 days and onsite 2 days)
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and technical support for contract/grant applications and post-award fund management for designated departments.
- Manage diverse proposals and awards, analyzing data with a strong understanding of complex regulations.
- Conduct budget analyses and prepare financial reports for principal investigators, maintaining fiscal integrity.
- Track and reconcile expenses for extramural and internal funds, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Prepare proposal budgets, coordinate submissions, and provide financial projections for efficient resource use.
- Monitor fund balances, resolve discrepancies, and assist with payroll processes for personnel.
- Organize fiscal budget control for contracts, grants, and private projects for faculty research programs.
- Two years of experience ideally in university setting Grants and Contracts Administration.
- Strong knowledge of grant funding processes, financial analysis, and compliance regulations.
- Proficiency in managing high transaction volumes with detailed fiscal analysis using spreadsheets and databases.
- Ability to maintain independent judgment, with strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training in a relevant field, with knowledge of federal, state, and institutional regulations.

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
