Logistics Coordinator

Department: Consumables Logistics

Location: Kennesaw, GA

What we are looking for:

The Logistics Coordinator is critical to ensuring parts and consumables are delivered to meet customer demand by coordinating imports and distribution of parts and consumables directly in support of the Lifecycle Operations Supply Chain (LOSC). Legal requirements mandate special training is required for US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), C-TPAT, social compliance, DOT hazmat regulations, and includes accounting guidelines for purchasing and transportation of goods.

This position ensures full compliance of CBP and DOT requirements. Failure to comply can result in significant costs, including fines, increased networking capital values, and lost time in service and back-office operations. Additionally, with cross training it serves as backup to Life Cycle Supply Chain functions for territories in the United States, Canada, and Mexico in an LOSC America cluster critical to emergency rescue and expediting of parts. New functions critical to the success of subscription and vendor managed inventory require focused resources to ensure program success.

What you will do:

  • Support Parts, Consumables and Service groups for Machine Down customers - working with carriers to expedite shipments. For critical emergencies, be in constant communication with vendors, customers, and all involved parties (external and internal).
  • Monitor movement of expedited shipment from vendor to recipient. Provide US Customs required information to pre-clear shipments and provide updates to parties involved.
  • Must be able to complete all pertinent US Customs documentation, including but not limited to, commercial invoices and bills of lading.
  • Work with US Customs and brokers via email and telephone communication to assist in providing HTS, COO, FCC and FDA paperwork to clear incoming and outgoing shipments on an up to the minute basis based on urgency and just in time delivery requirements.
  • File claims for reimbursement with insurance, warehouse, and transportation providers to recoup as much money as possible for lost or damaged product and/or shipments.
  • Work with third party vendors to compile and manipulate invoicing data from logistics vendors into a summary which can be seamlessly integrated into AP 2.0 for faster and more accurate processing of logistics invoices.
  • Resolve billing issues between vendors and Accounts Payable.
  • Follow up any invoicing issues and discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.
  • Work closely with all consumables warehouses as well as the parts warehouse to ensure that all issues which could potentially create delays are resolved.
  • Work closely with Inventory, Product Management, CSSRs, and warehouses to investigate and resolve potential issues.
  • Provides daily updates to track and trace to be proactive in identifying delays in traffic and intervene as necessary to escalate to resolution.
