Arthrex is actively seeking a Sr SAP QM/PP Business Systems Analyst who will work directly with the Manufacturing Engineering departments within Arthrex on Business application configuration and support in a manufacturing environment.  Excellent communications and analytical skills, strong technical project management skills and a Bachelors’ degree will be essential for this position. Main Objective:

Responsible for facilitating process improvements engaging business and IT, as well as design and/or configure, analyze, implement, test, and maintain the organization’s on-premise and cloud computing applications. The candidate will be responsible for successful delivery of Manufacturing solutions leveraging SAP QM and PP modules. The Candidate will be involved in developing the business case for Supply Chain Management solutions to influence operational metrics and KPIs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge expert in SAP QM system.
  • Knowledge expert in SAP PP system.
  • Knowledge expert in ERP-SAP system.
  • Knowledge expert in SAP Materials Requirements Planning (MRP)
    • Responsible for hands on functional configuration in SAP QM and PP systems.
  • Knowledge expert in SAP QM/PP integration with MM and WM modules in the manufacturing area is required.
  • Experience in SAP master data and transactional data loads (LSMW, scripting, etc.)
  • Handle changes or emergency transports as needed for high priority issues
  • Provides functional consulting on complex SAP projects including rollouts.
  • Design and deliver high quality solutions through system configuration and/or development that meet overall business requirements in the areas of responsibility.
  • Interface with COE functional experts and business process owners to facilitate process improvement and develop new functionality.
  • Obtain a deep understanding of relevant business area(s) and business processes to be able to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements.
  • Shape business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions.
  • Participate in Application Configuration, Analysis, Management, and Maintenance in an Enterprise environment.
  • Support user training activities on ERP, SCM and related systems.
  • Adhere to the Quality System Procedures and Change Control.
  • Lead and/or participate in delivery of projects.
  • Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements.
  • Provide Application End User support.
  • Act as a liaison between the business functions and the technical team.
  • Analyze business process potentials for streamlining and improvements in efficiencies.
  • Respond, resolve, or escalate reported incidents.
  • Under management direction, may participate as SME for audits.
  • Responsible for coordinating application needs from back-end platforms through user interface.
  • Ensure stability, integration, and integrity of production systems.
  • Complete all QA Non-Conformance and Corrective Actions in a timely manner, if assigned.
  • Participate in assessment of application security and identity management requirements, where applicable.
  • Create artifacts as appropriate, including business case documentation, scope documentation, detailed functional requirements, operational requirements, process flows, and test cases.
  • Understand technical options, limitations, costs, and risks.
  • Communicate tradeoffs to business partners and work with them to shape requirements accordingly.
  • Help resolve competing priorities between stakeholder groups by facilitating stakeholder discussions and escalate issues where appropriate.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of the key integration points between the other SAP modules (MM, WM, FICO).
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of cloud technology, including Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
  • Follow established methodology for the identification and documentation of business requirements, analysis, design, configuration, testing and user adoption related activities within SAP QM/PP.
  • Identify gaps, issues and work around solutions.
  • Create and maintain application operational and instructional documentation, as necessary.
  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 on-call coverage support, as necessary.
  • Monitor, record, investigate, and diagnose system faults and errors aimed to resolve technical issues and respond to requests for support.
  • Benchmark current and future processes against industry best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of roadmaps.
  • Support the adoption of solutions by sponsoring business departments.
  • Manage projects with limited scope.
  • Create functional design documents and other relevant documents maintaining adherence to the software development lifecycle.
  • Mentor junior Analysts.
  • Work with IT management and Business Analysts to provide direction in large cross-functional teams.
  • Provide technical training assistance for users, applications programming team, and other staff.
  • Lead process improvements and IT projects to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Lead collaboration with business for documentation of As-Is and To-Be Processes.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and differentiate Arthrex from its competition.
  • Manage projects with cross functional teams and of global scope.
  • Analyze requirements, design and develop solutions, coordinate testing, and implement technologies, enhancements, and incident/problem resolutions.
  • Viewed as a subject matter expert in the field within the organization.

Specialized Skills

  • Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
  • SAP SCM (QM, PP, WM, MM, IM), ECC - certifications preferred.
  • Experience working in projects where multiple functions work in a matrix structure is a plus.
  • Business analysis certification (e.g., CBAP) is a plus.
  • Previous involvement in the deployment or optimization of an ERP system is a plus.
  • Programming knowledge in any of the following are a plus: SQL, ABAP, JAVA.

Education/Experience

  • ERP Systems – SAP QM (Quality Management), at least five (5) years of hands-on experience required.
  • ERP Systems – SAP PP (Production Planning), at least five (5) years of hands-on experience required.
  • Full cycle implementations and deployments in SAP QM/PP are required.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management process definition, analysis, design, and implementation.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred (Medical Device manufacturing experience a plus).
  • Experience with SAP Solution Manager preferred.
  • Experience with SAP Add-ons/Bolt-ons is a plus.
  • ABAP debugging experience is a plus.
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, system design documentation, and writing functional specifications.
  • Experience with the following is desired, not required, would be considered a plus:
    • SAP ECC Warehouse Management (WM)
    • SAP ECC Sales and Distribution (SD)
    • SAP ECC Materials Management (MM)
    • SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and Business Intelligence (BI)

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Work with standard current computer applications, including but not limited to collaboration tools, email, word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools, diagramming tools; as well as Enterprise applications (where applicable): ERP, PLM, DMS, HRIS, CRM, MES, and BI.
