SUMMARY: The Quality Site Manager leads our company's largest quality department in our 130 employee Marlborough, MA facility, working with AS9100, ISO-9001, and Class K standards. This role requires a customer-facing leader who can empower and appropriately delegate to quality team.The Quality Manager drives quality assurance initiatives by organizing, facilitating and supporting continuous improvement activities, lean initiatives, SPC, failure analysis/corrective actions and auditing of existing quality systems. They will need to have extensive experience working on customer issue resolution, problem solving, managing teams and an expert in all aspects of Quality from new product development through customer communication and issue resolution.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Analyze trends and advises adjustments needed to maintain a quality product and identify and document processes that are critical to qualityCoordinate the flow of information between customers and production staff regarding quality related issuesProcess customer complaints/returns and assist in developing and communicating failure analysis and corrective actionsEstablish an internal audit plan and maintain and auditing team that monitors current systems and identify opportunities for improvementResponsible for ensuring purchased products meet our needs and expectations through inspection, assessment of supplier processes and capabilities and ongoing monitoring of supplier performanceDevelop and implement quality assurance standards, processes and controls by developing and modifying quality procedures and processes to achieve targets associated with KPI Metrics and Quality ObjectivesOTHER JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Drive quality system improvement by reviewing KPI Metrics, SPC, internal audit results, corrective action responses, CI team progress and customer report cardsAssess customer requirements and ensure they are metProvide direction to ensure compliance with all applicable customer requirements and government regulations involving product qualityResponsible for ensuring the monitoring, control, calibration and maintain measuring and test equipmentDirects critical IPC and J-STD training of Engineers and Manufacturing AssemblersResponsible for reducing cycle time and waste through continual process improvementREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelor's DegreeExperience: 5-8 years in Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics OREquivalent combination of education and experienceCertificates/Licenses: None RequiredDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Lean Six Sigma Black Belt CertificationCertified Quality Manager (CQM) certificationMicrosoft Office and web proficiencyExperience in electronics processing manufacturingWorking knowledge of electronic component manufacturing processUnderstanding of application of raw materialsOperation of control systems, test equipmentKnowledge of: quality systems and techniques, process control including SPC, team facilitation methods, effective training techniquesStrong investigative and analytical skillsWORK ENVIRONMENT: Office & Manufacturing BasedDIRECT REPORTS: Supervisory role with direct ReportsEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
