Project Engineer

with experience in Residential Construction Project Management. You will assist the Project Manager with the planning and daily execution of construction projects and leverage your experience to improve the delivery and outcomes for projects you own. Join us What you’ll do Work on this project: Wardman: 2 -10 plus story towers 1000 luxury residential units Desirable area of DC on the hill Previously a 1500 rm convention center Who you are: You’re a pro at communicating on the page and in person, and you’re great at building relationships. This comes in handy when interacting with senior executives, as well as when you flex your expert interpersonal and negotiating skills which have a real influence on others. Calmly managing multiple projects under time constraints is no problem for you. Your strong analytical and decision-making skills are a key part of your success, and overall, you’re highly committed to operational excellence. You’ll bring: What you’ll do Assist the Project Manager with the planning and daily execution of construction projects Maintain project schedule as assigned by the Project Manager through managing submittal approvals, RFIs, coordinating the timely delivery of materials, and maintaining schedules and budgets Manage submittal log and coordinate submittals and coordination drawings with subcontractors and the Superintendent Serve as the onsite quality manager for assigned trades by verifying subcontractor deliveries meet approved submittal requirements Manage, direct, coordinate the subcontractor’s compliance with the Contract Documents as delegated by the Project Manager Assist with the scopes of work, bid package development, and help solicit subcontractors and suppliers Assist in the development of the site utilization plan Assist Project Manager in the review and coordination of Loss Prevention, project Sustainability Action Plan (SAP) and Quality Control Program Distribute proposal change documents to subcontractors/suppliers and assist in collecting pricing and/or prepare change proposal requests for internal pricing review Be responsible for compiling and submitting owner-required close-out documents as well as assist subcontractors/suppliers in scheduling owner-required training and documentation Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, state and federal laws (e.g., OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, etc.) What you’ll Bring: Possession of minimum OSHA 10 or 30 hours in the past three years and current First Aid and CPR training Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field 2+ years’ experience in Construction, Civil Engineering, or related field 2+ years’ experience in Residential Construction Project Management Field experience in podium or wrap construction Extensive computer knowledge: Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) ProCore is a plus Working knowledge of construction and project management software Must be able to pass a drug screen after a conditional offer of employment is made.
