JOB PURPOSE Responsible for assisting in developing, implementing, and supporting sustainable cultivation and solicitation strategies of the Piedmont Healthcare Foundation in the area of Annual Giving. This position will drive donor acquisition efforts, assist with cultivation and solicitation efforts from newly identified prospects and help with the Employee Giving Program. This role will execute strategies under the guidance of the Director of Annual Giving that will engage service line and local entities partners to help increase philanthropy across the full spectrum of the annual giving pipeline. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Support the Director of Annual Giving, which includes being a point of contact for partners assisting in implementing fund-raising strategies and aquiring case for support documents. 2. Supports the Director of Annual Giving in preparing written proposals, corporate grant requests, gift agreements, cases for support, and other materials for prospect development and solicitation. 3. Effectively utilizes Raisers Edge to maintain records of contacts with all donors and prospects. 4. Support programmatic giving efforts including direct mail, e-philanthropy, online giving, event giving and employee giving programs. 5. Implements an annual plan created by the Director of Development with measurable goals that include efforts across the spectrum of donor identification, acquisition, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship measured by assigned metrics from the Director of Annual Giving. 6. Assist with implementation of specific strategic efforts for the purpose of cultivating greater engagement between donors and Piedmont. 7. Collaborates closely with Foundation staff, board members, system, service line and local entity partners, and community volunteers on fundraising initiatives. 8. Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management, Health Care Administration or a closely related field required. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: No years of experience in philanthropy required, but some directed or related experience preferred. MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: None. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working in healthcare preferred. Experience with a donor engagement database preferred.
