The fabrication capabilities in our Laconia division include CNC tube bending, forming, machining, welding and brazing. We currently have immediate openings for experienced gas tungsten arc welders (TIG), manual and orbital. Performing TIG welding on thin wall tubing, ranging from .028" - .049" wall thickness, and .25-1.75" OD, 321 Stainless, 625 Inconel and Titanium tube assemblies per aerospace requirements. Ability to inspect your own welds for conformance to drawing and specification requirements (after internal training if necessary) Set up and maintain associated equipment, tools, Spin-tables, etc., to produce parts to aircraft quality specifications in accordance with drawings, layouts, mylars, blueprints, and/or written instructions. Perform intermediate mathematical calculations; use precision gages/inspection measuring equipment, borescopes, fixturing, etc.; and interpret weld/fabrication/mechanical blueprints, sketches, layouts, engineering specifications and/or drawings, etc., to determine required weld and fabrication set-ups and operations to produce precision hardware. Set up and maintain equipment and tools. Performing related environmental, health, safety, maintenance, quality, continuous improvement, production-flow job duties to support plant machinery, equipment, and manufacturing-related initiatives and programs. Maintaining detailed job task documentation, reports, and records. RequirementsJob Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Current or prior Weld Qualifications per D17.1 standards a huge plus. Candidates must have vision acuity of 20/30 or better and shall be able to read the Jaeger No.2 Eye Chart at 16 in. Natural or corrected vision may be used to achieve eye test requirements. Color vision is also a requirement for this position. Annual eye exams are required and must be performed before any qualification testing. Demonstrated proficiency in the set -up and operation of Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) tools and equipment. Demonstrated proficiency in the set -up and operation of brazing, and automated welding tools and equipment. Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical/weld/fabrication blueprint reading and interpretation. Experience in use of various precision gages, measuring tools and equipment such as, micrometers, dial calipers, height gages, special fixturing, etc. Demonstrated experience in fabrication-related disciplines. Demonstrated use of oral and written communication skills. Experience in Lean Six Sigma fundamentals. Demonstrated ability in receiving guidance and supervision, following work rules, safety practices, work procedures; meeting deadlines; and punctuality and attendance standards.We are looking for people who are highly motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
