**Description**

At PIRCH we are empowered, knowledgeable and caring. As an Associate Buyer, you will be responsible for administrative and financial related tasks that help support the purchasing team. The Associate Buyer will manage different aspects of supplier product and coordinate company purchase supports with other departments. The work of this role is critical to customer satisfaction, internal department support and PIRCHs overall ability to create great customer experiences.

**Essential Functions**

* Works closely with the Buyers and Merchants to implement, and maintain buy strategies and stocking programs

* Research suppliers to determine which ones fit the companies pricing and quality objectives

* Manage physical and digital purchasing records

* Follow strict purchasing policies and procedures

* Supports Sales Consultants, Sales Administrators and Project Coordinators with information and product availability requests through reallocations, confirmations and ticket resolution

* Responsible for providing timely and accurate information to cross functional and cross concept partners

* Trace/expedite of purchase orders

* Ensures pricing, promotions and product availability is up- to-date and communicated in a timely manner

* Participates in vendor product knowledge meetings in store locations or vendor facility to become brand expert

* Support purchasing team as needed

* Audits and maintains pricing and catalog files

* Performs other duties and tasks as required and assigned

**Experience**

* High School diploma or GED equivalent required

* Two or four-year degree preferred

* Inventory management or purchasing experience preferred

* Proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel

* Minimum of two years ERP experience required; Microsoft Great Plains preferred

* Appliance and/or plumbing knowledge is a plus
