Summary:
As a key member of MetroHealths premier and recognized Metro Life Flight (MLF)/MetroHealth emergency care team that provides logistics and facilitation for critical patient calls and routine ground transport for both MetroHealth and partner organizations, develops and oversees the Flight Communication Office (FCO) staff training and ongoing and development activities. Ensures that FCO staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to serve as ambassadors of both The MetroHealth System brand and values and those of its partners. Provides, coordinates, and develops education programs, orientation of new staff, and competency assessment to assure FCO staff perform at the top of their skill set. Performs various tasks that include identifying new training needs for the department, supervising trainees work, and developing effective training programs and evaluation processes ensuring Metro Life Flight standards are met and all customers receive exceptional service. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer services standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required:High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.Current Ohio EMT or EMT-P certification.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).Three years of experience in flight and ground communications.Proficient use of flight computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software, mapping software, and Aviation Vendor Operational Control Center software.Ability to quickly and expertly read a map and understand and convey directions.Knowledge of Ohio geography and other business locations.Strong computer skills, to include MS Office and data entry.Demonstrated leadership skills.Strong organizational skills and customer service orientation.Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to provide highest level of customer service, public relations, and brand ambassadorship with internal and external stakeholders in stressful situations.Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and fast-paced environment.Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred:Associate Degree in business or related field.
Physical Demands:May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating.May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing.Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.Ability to read job related documents.Ability to use computer
