Baer is looking for SAP Federal Finance Audit Consultant for a 12+ month Federal Remote Project.

Responsibilities:

Implement, manage, and optimize SAP FI/CO modules to support financial processes and reporting. Ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial statements and reports within SAP systems. Conduct system configurations and customizations to meet federal requirements. Lead and manage audit processes for national security federal entities. Plan overall audit strategies and develop comprehensive audit programs. Prepare and review detailed audit documentation and reports. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas of risk. Develop financial models and provide insights for decision-making. Ensure compliance with federal financial regulations and prepare reports for federal agencies. Lead finance-related projects, ensuring alignment with federal regulations and standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of audit strategies. Provide training and support to end-users on SAP FI/CO functionalities. Identify areas of financial risk and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with federal financial regulations and standards. Support external audits and inspections by providing necessary documentation and insights.

Skills and Experience:

A minimum of 13 years of relevant experience in finance and audit, including 4 years of leading audit efforts. Extensive experience managing audits for national security federal entities (e.g., DoD or DHS). Proven track record in planning audit strategies and developing audit programs. In-depth knowledge of SAP Finance (SAP FI) and SAP Controlling (SAP CO) modules. Strong background in audit processes and compliance within the federal sector. Experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD) and/or the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Knowledge of federal financial reporting requirements and processes. Active Secret Clearance is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required. Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is Required.
