As we expand our operations, we are seeking a dedicated Night Shift Manager to join our team at the Distribution Center in Stockton, California.

 

The Night Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all warehouse operations during the night shift. This includes managing receiving, counter services, order fulfillment, and shipping activities. The role requires directing warehouse operations, supervising the night team, and ensuring strict adherence to established procedures. The Night Shift Manager will also implement strategic practices to enhance supply chain effectiveness and optimize financial performance.

 

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 10:00 PM start time.

Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Development

Motivate, coach, and lead a team of warehouse associates to achieve daily and weekly targets.

Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback for improvement.

Address employee concerns and maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Oversee scheduling and ensure adequate staffing levels for smooth operations.

Warehouse Operations

Manage the efficient receipt, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices to prevent accidents and injuries.

Monitor inventory levels, identify discrepancies, and initiate corrective actions.

Track and meet order fulfillment deadlines to maintain customer satisfaction.

Administrative & Reporting

Prepare and submit shift reports with key metrics like productivity, errors, and safety incidents.

Maintain accurate records of inventory, labor hours, and equipment usage.

Collaborate with other departments like Marketing and Sales to ensure smooth product flow.

Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize warehouse processes.

Miscellaneous

Involved in hiring and training new warehouse associates.

Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure a clean and organized work environment.

Respond to unexpected situations and problem-solve effectively to minimize disruptions.

Stay up to date on industry best practices and warehouse management systems.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements

High school diploma (or equivalent) is preferred. A combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of the job would qualify.

5 years in warehouse / distribution operations management.

3 years’ experience in the plumbing industry.

Knowledge of warehouse management systems and software.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong computer skills to include expertise in Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.

Ideal Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or related field (preferred)

 

Ideal Work Experience and Skills

7-10+ years' experience in distribution management.

Experience supervising 20+ employees in a distribution/warehouse environment.

Minimum 1 year as Warehouse Supervisor at PACE Supply Corp.

Work Environment

Physical Requirements:

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.

Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.

Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Environmental Conditions:

The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.

Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
